How To Achieve Your AdSense Referrals

Google offers since November 2005 to sponsor other webmasters to use some of Google products. Here are some tips from Google to make your recommendations for new products to users and generate additional income.

Actively recommend the products you refer. Contrary to AdSense for content, recommend the products you refer by attracting the attention of users on the button or text link. If you believe that the product you refer is of quality, feel free to tell it to your users. Of course, in accordance with AdSense rules, you have no right to click on your own ads nor encourage conversions for dishonest reasons.

Treat sets of referrals as content rather than as ad space. By integrating text links or buttons in the relevant content on your page, you enhance the experience of users of the website and allow them to easily find the referral buttons which you are talking about.

Make tests. Try some of the formats of text links and buttons to see which work the best on your website. The AdSense rules lets you add a referral by product and sponsor a maximum of four products on any given page.

Customize the text links. Our policy allows publishers to change the font and size of the link through classic font HTML tags on each side of the link. However, these changes are permitted only if they are relatively needed to inscribe the text link in the theme of the website. Changes unwarranted or abusive would violate the program rules.

Choose well the products that you recommend. For example, if your website deals with blogs and web hosting, a set of AdSense referral is perhaps what is appropriate the best for your website. The most relevant product compared to your website content will always be the one that will work the best for referrals.

Alternate sets of referrals at the same time as the content. When you modify the content, make sure that the referral remains relevant in the new content.
