Forums can be a great way to create more profit for your business. One of the key factors for profitable forums is getting people to sign up. So you will have to make it interesting or no one will bother. Here are 4 ways to create profitable forums for your business.

1. Get Subscribers Early
Don’t wait for opening day to get people to sign up for your forum. You can get friends and current customers to post early and help you test it; then, when people come to your forum for the first time, it will already appear active.

2. Encourage Participation
You could offer discounts and prizes for those who post the most during a certain time. However, make sure there are rules. They can’t just post a letter A and qualify. They have to be meaningful and purposeful posts.

3. Additional Subjects
If you have a business that sells baby clothing then your forum will be related to discussions of baby clothing. However, you could also start discussions about infant illness charities and even offer to contribute a certain amount for each meaningful “qualifying” post in that section.

4. Moderate!
Nothing will lose you participants faster than the jerk who has to go in and flame everyone on a consistent basis. Waste no time in banning this idiot and protecting your loyal customers and posters–they will be more loyal to you for it. Profitable forums depend as much on customer service in the forum itself as in your business.

Just keep in mind, some of the forums to which you post will not product income for you, and others will carry your company - but if you are not testing, you won’t know it. Test.
